- It's 1/2 ltr of colostrum milk of cow / buffalo.
- It's 1 ltr of regular milk.
- You need 1 bowl of jaggery.
- You need 1 tsp of cardamom powder.
- It's 1/2 tsp of nutmeg powder.
- You need 10/12 of saffron strands.
Kharvas / milk pudding step by step
- In a mixing bowl, combine jaggery with regular milk & mix it till jaggery dissolve completely..
- Add colostrum milk in it and mix well..
- Sieve this mixture to remove any impurities..
- Add cardamon & nutmeg powder, saffron & mix well..
- Transfer it to a cooker pan..
- Fill the pressure cooker base with water & allow to heat..
- Place the pan inside the cooker & steam cook for 20-25 minutes..
- Later take out the pan from the cooker & allow to cool it..
- Then chill in a fridge..
- Unmould in a serving dish & cut into squares..
- Serve cold as a dessert..
